Ooredoo Group and Zain Group Receive Kuwait Competition Protection Authority Approval for Tower Joint Venture

Doha, Qatar, 23 September 2026: Ooredoo Q.P.S.C. (“Ooredoo”) – Ticker ORDS – has announced that Ooredoo Group and Zain Group have received approval from the Kuwait Competition Protection Authority for the economic concentration relating to their tower joint venture.

The approval follows the definitive agreements announced on 5 December 2023 to establish an equally owned and jointly controlled tower platform across a number of markets.

This approval represents an important milestone in the phased implementation of the transaction. Completion of the transaction remains subject to the satisfaction of the remaining closing conditions set out in the transaction documents and the receipt of all relevant internal and regulatory approvals.

Ooredoo Group and Zain Group will continue to work closely with the relevant authorities to complete the required procedures, secure the outstanding approvals and fulfil the applicable disclosure requirements.
