Widam Food Company: Launches Camel Slaughterhouse and Mobile Slaughterhouse in Abu Nakhla

Widam Food Company Q.P.S.C., the leading company in the meat , livestock sector , the principal operator of Al Wakra Central Slaughterhouse and private Slaughterhouses across the State of Qatar, has officially launched both the Camel Slaughterhouse at Abu Nakhla Camel Market and a mobile Slaughterhouse located at the company’s sheep sales yard in the Abu Nakhla area.

The launch forms part of the company’s expansion strategy and its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of its services and products in line with consumers’ needs and expectations.

The opening of the Camel slaughterhouse , a specialized facility dedicated to the slaughtering and processing of camel meat, represents an important step toward strengthening food security and supporting self-sufficiency in Qatar’s camel meat sector. In addition to providing services to the local community, the facility will serve the commercial sector, which meets the daily demand of the local market for fresh camel meat—a segment that has experienced significant growth in recent years.

The Camel slaughterhouse has a daily production capacity exceeding 100 heads of camels, while the mobile slaughterhouse has a daily capacity of 200 sheep.”

Widam Food Company is the primary supplier of livestock as well as chilled and frozen meat to the local market. The company also manages and operates the automated slaughterhouse at Al Wakra Central Market, in addition to operating a number of other private slaughterhouse across the country.
